The Hottest Makeup Trends for 2014

This article is so, so very exciting that I am literally rushing through the typing so that I can send this to my readers at the earliest!

From hints of metallic to plops of mind-blowing hues and nothing but beaming skin – the details of the season’s must-try makeup trends are here for you!!.. straight from the ramp!

  •  Oh! Shine on.. – Metallic Touches

From over-the-top eye shadow to a dashy pout… from a touch of bright shimmer in inner corners of eyes to the flecks of glitter dusted liberally.. Take your pick of how to shine on.

  • Flutters on! – Lash Out

Doll-like heavy lashes took over eyes at most of the shows, right from Gucci to YSL.

  • Line Dance – Bold liner!

Whether you prefer a heavy smoky eye or a softer variation or a sleek winged effect .. And additionally, in 2014, the bottom liner creating definition is the key. Interesting!!

  • Glow Getter.. So eternal, so stylish!

Flawless skin was enhanced with fresh cheeks and no trace of any imperfections at shows such as Ralph Lauren, Jason Wu and Calvin Klein. This is a kind of eternal appeal.. isn’t it?

  • Bare Minimum

On some runways this year, complexions were left ostensibly nude. Perfect nude is the new bold it seems!

  • Paint me! Color Theory

From ultra-bright and stark flashes of liner to full on paint jobs, this year it’s all about pushing limits with color.

  • Vintage! The ’60s Inspired

Along with full lashes, defined lower lids, there is a perceptible retro vibe that is going to be in cool trend.

Caution: Balance your look! If you are going heavy in any one of the trends, keep the other aspects of your look simple, muted or downplayed! Like, if the metallic hints are highlighting your eyes avoid a color-pop liner! If your heavy eyelashes are creating flutters don’t go loud with your liner or lips! Just a few random examples…
